15th MARCH 2009
Bedroom 1
8.55pm
Temperature 20.6C
We picked up on the name John and a group of four men (workers) playing cards. They are possibly foreign workers (refugees or POWs?) possibly Polish.
There is a naval connection, people from a ship, possibly a captured German ship. They integrated well into the local community. It's Christmas and they have some very basic decorations and a sparsely decorated tree.
We also picked up on a Margaret and a Lizzie (1875?)
There are also a lot of children from the 1700s (this is purely residual)
We also picked up on huntsmen on horses and the name Osbourne (from Charles / Challis? Hall). He is a very abrupt man, commanding. He owned the cottages.
There is also a religious connection, possibly nuns. They are not actually connected to the cottages but nearby.
We also picked up on a train accident, where two people were killed – unsure of the connection to the cottages.
We could also smell candles (the old type of candles).
Bedroom 2
Temperature 23.1C
A very strong smell of perfume came in and out.
We picked up on the name Mavis Whittaker from the 1920s or 30s judging by her clothes (a wrap around apron). She sits in a rocking chair. She has a very broad accent. She served tea – was the cottage under the name of “the lilac bushes” or something similar?
We picked up on a woman killed on a horse Annabel Windsor – she was riding a Chestnut hunting horse and was killed in the fields nearby.
Also picked up on gypsies from the 1940s or 1950s – again just residual.
There is a lot of anger in the room – someone screaming and stomping, out of control with anger. Desperate for attention.
Temperature 23.7C only a slight variation.
Also picked up on a married couple Maurice and Hazel – Maurice died of a heart attack 1910/1915 – he wasn't very old. They were both in their 30s at the time. They did not actually live in the cottages, but the lady kept the house and the husband did something in the business side connected to the house. Anne felt a tightness in the head.
There is a connection between the cottages and a drowned girl of about 7 years old (Anna??) she did not live in the cottages but was maybe staying there or was taken there after. She was found by a local person. Her spirit visits the cottage.
When we were reviewing the video's and the laptop we found that it had not recorded
anything despite the screen saying that it was working fine. The other laptop which did not work on the night worked perfectly when connected at home.
